St. Elizabeth’s Gift

Welcome to St. Elizabeth’s Gift!

My name is Sara Pierce and I’m a Natural Childbirth Instructor with the American Academy of Husband-Coached Childbirth. Here’s my story and how I fell in love with natural childbirth through The Bradley Method®.

I happened upon The Bradley Method® when I was pregnant with my first child, and thought I’d give it a go. Little did I know I would fall completely in love with Dr. Bradley’s teachings and I haven’t been able to stop talking about it since! I attended classes and had a successful Bradley birth with my daughter. Soon after I decided I wanted to share all that I’ve learned with other Now I’m excited to share the joys of natural, Husband-Coached Childbirth and the teachings of Dr. Robert Bradley with others.
This is my passion.
This is what God has called me to do.

I was blessed enough to have another beautiful and joyful natural birth received my certification in April of 2014 and am thrilled to begin a wonderful journey sharing my story and the brilliant teachings of Dr. Bradley with expectant mothers and fathers. Feel free to click the image below and visit my Bradley website to learn more about my classes and the philosophy of The Bradley Method®.

The Bradley Method

So what does St. Elizabeth have to do with The Bradley Method®?
Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist, was the first to learn of Mary’s blessing as the Mother of Christ. I am fortunate enough to call her my patron saint as well as the patron saint of pregnancy. Her story and the gift of motherhood is why I wanted to honor her and use her name to inspire my own childbirth education business.

Luke 1:41 – When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.”

Be sure you ‘like’ the St. Elizabeth’s Gift Facebook page where I share information on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and more – along with details on current and future series!

Read all about the births of my children here and here.

Please feel free to ask me any questions and don’t hesitate to share your own birth stories… natural or not! I absolutely love hearing about different mothers’ experiences.

  1. This is awesome. I planned to use the Bradley method with my labor and delivery, but couldn’t find a class close by : ( it’s strange that there aren’t any people certified to teach it in Williamsburg. I just read the books and hoped for the best! (Side note: my mom and your dad are cousins, if you were wondering who this random commenter was!)

I passed along his books to a friend who is due in May. I think it’s awesome you’re pursuing it!

    • Thanks for commenting Melanie! And I’m sorry there wasn’t a teacher close to you. It would be great if there were some kind of resource in every city… maybe some day 🙂
